Nominating Council: Nominate Sunday School officers and teachers, ministry group members, voluntary workers, and prepare and update all applicable job descriptions in all areas of ministry, and also elect a chairman.

Stewardship Council: Prepare and recommend annual budget prior to fiscal year. Work with ministry groups and program key leaders as to their recommendations of budget needs. Monitor reports as to income and expenditures to keep within budget requirements. Consider and recommend all requests for the establishment or deletion of backline designated funds. Consider all requests in relation to items not considered as normal expenditures. Currently meets Sunday at 7:30 pm.

Personnel Council: Recommend prospective employees and serve as search committee for ministerial staff positions other than pastor. Develop personnel policies for staff concerning vacation, sick leave, personal days off, and Christmas bonuses. Recommend pay packages. Meet annually with each staff member. Prepare and update paid position job descriptions.

Building & Grounds Council: Provide leadership in maintaining a current master building plan for FBCGunter. Seek God's guidance and will for the church concerning the facilities to support future growth in Gunter and the surrounding areas. Work as a team to insure all areas of the church are considered and addressed in future facility planning: construction; business/leadership; ministries; property and building aesthetics/flow.

Revival/Prayer Ministry Group: Make plans in conjunction with the church staff for revivals. Help coordinate the calendar, the evangelist, the music, meals, and housing for any revivalist. Keep the church updated on prayer needs. Discover new strategies for Wednesday evening prayer time. Provide budgetary needs to the stewardship ministry group. Elect a chairperson.
Welcome Team: Encourage the welcome of new people in our area. Coordinate varied activities to enhance welcome-brochures, fellowships, videos, a welcome center. Help with parking, handing out bulletins, and assist guests in all capacities. This group includes outside, inside, and welcome center greeters. Provide budgetary needs to stewardship ministry group.
Preschool Ministry Group: Schedule/provide adequate staffing of nursery during regularly scheduled services. Establish a loving, safe environment where the children will feel happy while at church.
Children's Ministry Group: Coordinate the church's overall ministry with children including scheduling, planning, and implementation of activities. Support and encourage the work of AWANA, VBS, children's choirs, and Sunday School. Provide budgetary needs for the stewardship ministry group. Director: Julie Smith
Youth Leadership Team: Coordinate the church's overall ministry with youth including scheduling, planning, and implementation of activities (Bible study, spiritual growth, outreach, recreation, fellowship, music, camps, and retreats). Provide budgetary needs for the stewardship ministry group.
Women's Ministry Group: Enhance the spiritual lives of ladies through planning, promoting, and taking part in discipleship studies, retreats, lunches, and mentoring younger women.
Men's Ministry Group: Improve the spiritual lives of men by planning, promoting, and taking part in discipleship studies, retreats, and special emphasis for men. Be a mentor to a young man.
Fellowship Ministry Group: Organize monthly church wide fellowships. Make all preparations for the Thanksgiving meal and Christmas tree. Keep inventory of kitchen supplies. Assist with bereavement meals. Provide budgetary needs to the stewardship ministry group.
Worship Team: Help develop graded choirs. Plan the overall worship experience which includes vocalists and instrumentalists. Meets at 8:15 every Sunday Morning for final rehearsal.
Sound Room: (Audio Visual Team): Coordinate with the pastor, secretary, and worship leader the needs concerning sound, lighting, and Power Point needed to encounter a worship experience. Coordinate with specific key people involved in weddings and other special events.
Decoration Ministry Group: Provide floral and seasonal arrangements in the church to enhance the beauty of our facilities.
Library Ministry Group: Provide, classify, and keep track of good Christian reading materials for our church and community.
Summer Construction Mission Ministry Group: Plan, promote, and establish a mission trip involved in helping other churches build church facilities during the summer.
